The 40.10WV is registered up to 5 tons and is therefore, in contrast to other 4x4's, by far not overloaded. Also the centre of gravity is very low since all heavy things are stored very low and in the upper part you mainly drive around air, and not a heavily loaded roof rack
We find the following points for essential for long journeys:
- standing height, place for movement and comfortable seating in the inside of the car
- all relevant things easily accessible whithout having to move everything around all the time
- as light as possible, as robust as possible and as easy to repair with easy means as possible
- diversion of the weight on all 4 wheels equally, centre of gravity as low as possible, and distance to ground as high as possible
- robust truck mechanics. In contrast to other 4x4's we are 1 ton below than above the maximum weight
- as plain as possible from the outside. As less as possible attached to the outside. We never had anything stolen, never the car was tried to be opened. Stop where ever you like without opening a suspicious roof tent or even putting one by the side, no laborious moving around for preparing the bed

is that the car is not new any more and already has coped with several expedition type trips, and there proven it's worth.
- The motor runs very good although it leaks some oil.
- The windscreen has two cracks that can be easily seen on many fotos. Since they have not changed for thousands of kilometers and don't hinder the view we never did anything about them.
- It ist noisy. Motor and driving noises cannot be overheard, depending on road conditions and speed. The interior furnishing is super-durable but there are always sounds from different corners, beginning with the dishes and ending with the dashboard. Also because of the tight suspension you cannot compare the driving convenience with a Limousine or a modern 4x4. But back-ache you won't get, due to the super RECARO seats
- The painting has been applied with a roller and also has seen a lot of thorny branches. In some places you can see the original yellow colour
- The mileage counter doesn't function any more.
